10 Best Things to Do With Kids on a Rainy Day in Nassau County
Rainy day in Nassau County? Here are 10 fun indoor activities for kids, from museums and play spaces to trampolines, science, art and more.
Rainy day with kids? That usually means one of two things: Everyone stays home and slowly loses their mind… or you find somewhere indoors where the kids can move, explore, build, climb, learn or just burn off some energy. Luckily, Nassau County has plenty of good options. Nassau County Tourism's current rainy-day guide highlights Museum Row in Garden City, Empire Adventure Park, Garvies Point, Tackapausha, the Nassau County Museum of Art, the Museum of American Armor and Social Play Haus as strong indoor family destinations. Here are 10 Nassau County rainy-day activities worth keeping in your back pocket.

- 1
Long Island Children’s Museum — Garden City
For younger kids, this is probably one of the easiest rainy-day choices in Nassau County. The Long Island Children’s Museum is built around hands-on exhibits where kids can experiment, create and play instead of just walking past displays. Nassau County Tourism highlights interactive areas such as Bubbles, Sound Showers, Your House My House and TotSpot, making it especially good for toddlers through elementary-age kids.
